IM BACK!! well, since sunday night actually. (: missed me? heh. PERTH was glorious! oh man oh man. i miss it already ): the weather in perth wasnt too bad since it was near the coast. it was when we drove to places like albany where it was freezingggg. BRR- oh well, nice change from the humid weather in spore i suppose. and it made us shrink! so all our pants were looser. another thing we all LOVED abt aussie was the countless number of rainbows we saw. PRETTIFUL :)) i didnt manage to take any tho. my stupid camera was short of memory space! and now i dont seem to be able to upload my pics onto the com. waddaheck. and the instant noodles were so expensive. one of it sold there can buy me an entire pckt here! i think i spent half of my 200+ aussie dollars on food. there was one particular bus trip that was hilarious! huixin had a nosebleed. so were teasing her who she saw?! then carolyn suggested why not just let her see NG TCs face. then confirm stop bleeding. hohoho. funny girl. anyway, here goes :
DAY 1steve, our COACH CAPTAIN ( no, he aint a bus driver), fetched us to our hotel to drop our stuff. he made us sing waltzing matilda thruout our trip to perth! but it IS a nice song i must say. he had a whole collection of country music that was really good but i cudnt find the tape. what a pity. anyways, he stopped outside sheraton hotel and we all got down. i mean we only paid $911 and we get to stay at sheraton?! what a blast! so we collected out barang and trotted down with him into the hotel..... BESIDE sheraton. bleah.
proceeded to have lunch at some chinese restaurant where daphy and i hadta finish all the veg cus everyone else at out table seemed to be carnivores. haha. and guess what?! they served us rice in a bucket! fan tong eh? bwahaha.
it was quite pointless to take us to the orchard tho. there were hardly any fruit. there was one particular tree that had only ONE apple. WHOA. but we did learn how the farmers speed up their process of harvesting.
returned to the hotel at night and daph told me some yknow, ghostie facts. like we hadta knock on the hotel room door thrice before entering. then, we heard some eerie singing. we were scared out of our wits but it only turned out to be BUTT singing -.-"
DAY 2we went to a winery! but only the teachers got to taste the wine tho. oh well, at least we were allowed to BUY the wine. so it wasnt too bad. but the teachers had to lug it around with them cus we students werent allowed to be seen with anything alcohol. YAY. one load off our shoulders. :)
we also wenta the national park and stuff but i dont think youll be interested in me talking abt rocks anyway. heh. but the wind energy farm was an eyeopener! ive never seen so many windmills before! and it was really windy there. DUH. wind energy farm.
DAY 3went valley of the giants! there are some of the HUGEST trees ive ever seen! and we hadta walk on this bridge forty metres above ground and it swayed like crazzaye. you think thats scary? wait till ya hear abt the bicentennial tree. we were allowed to climb up this tree that was 68m tall! they had metal rods sticking out of the trunk and it spiralled upwards. and no, there wasnt any safety gear. so if you trip and fall, thats IT. we werent allowed to go all the way up tho. just up till the 30m mark where there was a platform that could hold around 6 people. mr ng was in my group! he didnt dare go down first! bwahaha. i succeeded going up and down the tree! so prouda myself :DD had HUMUNGOUS trout burgers for lunch. now ya know why the autralians are big eh.had lamb for dinner at some small farm. i ended up having to finish up carolyn and daphs lamb! i thought it was fabulous! but they didnt like the taste. ohwell.
headed for the boardwater beach resort and spent the night there. damn funny la. none of the 6 of us dared to enter cause it was dark so we just pushed nithya in who dragged daphni along. pretty confusing, daphni and daphanie. both of them bunked with us. there were two floors but the 2nd floor pnly had two beds so we just brought the blankets and stuff down. daphni attempted to cook maggi for daphanie but she didnt turn on the fire! so there was the gas just filling up the room for like half an hr beore we switched it off. then QMOR came to save us. haha. so malu. one whole room of GIRLS needta depend on a GUY to boil water. then the rest of the boys came and butt and i popped popcorn in the mircrowave. no one wanted to finish it tho. cause it was buttered. i think everyone else preferred the sweet one. so they played dai di. losers hadta eat the popcorn! i still cant figure out howta play it despite huiwens attempts in explaining the rules. whoops. anyhows, they finished the whole bag pretty soon.
DAY 4coastal features again! but ill just skip and go on to the ferguson farm. my, they have the best cook there! our table finished the entire bottle of EXTRA HOT SHILLI SAUCE, of which eileen had the honours of finishinghalf. deprived of chilli la we. it wasnt even spicy btw! it was sweet.
SOMEONE wouldnt stop ogling at the farmers son. hahaha. hes 17 btw. bought the strawberry jam and lemon butter. HOMEMADE! yumyumyum. i milked a cow too! it wasnt that bad. just soft and warm. quite cool actually. a pity we didnt get to shear the sheep! btw, we caught yabbes! its a lil like lobsters cum prawns thingy. caught it with out left over food. the farm actually has a bucket for leftover food that is used to feed the animals. ewww, i know.
had an indoors campfire due to the rain. learnt a coupla interesting songs. and we sang waltzing matilda again! and yuxi won the quiz farmer john gave. smartass. heh. some of the secthrees werent too happy bout that. oh well.
DAY5MY FAVOURITEST DAY! oh man. i wished that day would never end. but it did. bleah. had lunch at the joondalup chi restaunrant. rice in a bucket again. haha. then sand dunes!! woo hooo! i tried it twice. first time i slid off the board and went down the hill on my butt. 2nd time was more succesful. the only bummer was that we had sand in our pants etc etc. gross. dinner was at some indo restaurant and for the first time there was REAL CHILLI!!! no more sweet yucky sauces. YAY. and then there was late night shoppin! shops usually close ard 5 on mon to thurs but fri it opens till 9. butt and i decided to do last min shopping in the last 10 mins. we sprinted two streets down and ended up in some COTTON ON shop but it was closed! banged on the door to get the owners attention and told her we wanted THAT brown sweater in small. whoa. if i ran that fast for the heats i would have came in first! i think the owner was pretty shocked. haha. but no choice la. when it somes to shoppin... i wudnt dare do that if i was in spore tho. so embarrassing. SHOPAHOLICS UNITE! i <3 my butt.
spent the night at goodearth again. the toilet didnt have any lock!and daph and i choked the toiltet bowl with sand from the sand dunes. whoops. all the 4e2s came over. sokyou and gang bought loads of stuff. PARTYYYY! girls left early. guys supposed to tong xiao with butt but in the end that STUPID DARREN ended up sleeping on my pillow! heng he didnt drool. then butt sree huiwen carolyn and i ended up watching telly till ard 1+. then they went back and managed to drag darren back to their room. PHEW.
DAY6ahh, the last day. shopped at fremantle and hadta get our own lunch. daph huiwen n darren got this cool sand art thingy. there was this shop that sold pretty seashells. i want! but short of cash! i now owe daph huiwen and yue a total of fifty plus aussie. SIGHH- they had dried starfish too. i bought one shell in the end. just for the feel of the ocean. :) i also bought this haematite rock. its magnetic! i found it first. then i showed the rest and the rest all bought it, down to the last piece. hur hur. got the rest of the souvenirs at the air port. oh man, i really hope i have enough to go around. heh.
